Introducing DVSA Earned Recognition
The DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) Earned Recognition scheme for vehicle operators is a way to prove your organisation meets driver and vehicle standards. Joining this scheme and gaining DVSA Earned Recognition status can help you monitor your vehicle performance and improve your road safety.
Each vehicle operator will regularly share performance information with DVSA. In return, your vehicles are less likely to be stopped for roadside inspections. It’s a voluntary scheme that’s designed to work for operators of all sizes.

DVSA Earned Recognition
Earned Recognition is the DVSA’s preferred route for operators to monitor and improve driver and vehicle standards. This can ensure that you have DVSA compliant operators.
- Key performance information is shared with the DVSA automatically, reducing the need for vehicles to be stopped for inspections whilst out on the road.
- An accredited operator will have key performance indicators in place that show a high standard of compliance with regulations surrounding vehicle maintenance and drivers’ hours.
- Roadside checks and site audits cost operators and the DVSA in terms of money, time and resources. Earned Recognition means the DVSA can target operators that are a potentially bigger risk to other road users and safety in general. A DVSA approved operator will be stopped far less for a safety inspection, which can ensure your fleet are more productive on the road.

DVSA BEGINS MONITORING YOUR PERFORMANCE
